Baby Announcement We are delighted to share the news of the birth of Rev. Annie’s and Andrew’s son, Wesley Jonathan Pierpoint Mertz. He was born on Monday, Jan. 7 at 7:28 pm. He weighed 9 pounds, 8 ounces and is 23 inches in length. Both mom and baby are doing well.

Contemplative Prayer Service Jan. 18 Join us for a quiet evening of contemplative prayer on Friday, Jan. 18 in the sanctuary. It will begin at 7 p.m. and end with Compline at 7:45 p.m. Contemplative Prayer is offered every third Friday of the month.
 
Meet the Candidates for Bishop There will be a series of five “walkabouts” with the final candidates for Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California during the week of January 20, 2019. “Walkabouts” are a part of the process of meeting the candidates for bishop. The candidates will “take to the road” and visit throughout the diocese in formal and informal ways. During the formal events at each of the churches listed below, the people of the diocese will have an opportunity to meet the candidates, ask, and hear them answer questions about who they are, their ministry in the church and their vision for the diocese. These meetings are open to everyone, not just the voting delegates and we encourage everyone to attend. We also plan to livestream at least one of these events for those who are not able to travel. The Standing Committee has approved the Bishop’s Transition Committee recommendation of Faith Episcopal Church, Cameron Park, as the location for the Special Convention for the election of the bishop on February 9, 2019. Please note: this is a change from the previously published location. God willing and the people consenting, the Ordination and Consecration of the 8th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California will take place on June 29, 2019 at the Mondavi Center, Davis, CA.
 
ANNUAL MEETING NOTICE: SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 2019                                                                                        10 10 10 AM Joint Service of Holy Communion followed by a potluck brunch and annual meeting Notice is hereby given for the Annual Meeting of the Parish of St. Paul’s, Benicia, on Sunday, January 27, 2019 for the purpose of election of members to Vestry and Diocesan Convention, for the reception of reports, and for the transaction of any other business which may legally and canonically come before the meeting. Host a Coffee Hour Please consider hosting a coffee hour once or twice this year. Coffee hours provide an opportunity for us to continue our fellowship after church services and meet new members while enjoying light refreshments. The 2019 coffee hour sign-up clipboard is on the counter in the Parish Hall.
