View Sunday Services Without Using Facebook

In a conversation at a grocery store with a parishioner, it was brought to my attention that some folks are under the impression that they had to have a Facebook account in order to view the Sunday morning service.  This is not the case.

The other option is to go to the website (http://www.stpaulsbenicia.org) at 10 am  or a few minutes before and click the purple box that says CLICK THIS BOX FOR SUNDAY SERVICE AT 10 AM.  This will take you to the live service.

If you have any questions about connecting, please contact me at betsyzampa@gmail.com

Bishop Megan Issues a Pentecost Chalk Challenge

During the COVID-19 weekly leadership call, Bishop Megan laid down a challenge to the whole diocese. While showing a bucket of sidewalk chalk on the screen, she asked that everyone use their own supply, create a piece of sidewalk art, and submit it on social media for Pentecost. #PentecostChalkChallenge

What will you draw: maybe a heart, some flowers, perhaps the flame or a dove to symbolize the Holy Spirit? If you don’t feel particularly artsy, why not use your chalk to put your favorite quote on the sidewalk? Then, take a picture and share it with us on social media. Make sure you post it with the hashtags #PentecostChalkChallenge and #NorCalEpiscopal. We also hope you’ll like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram and Twitter. Each of those accounts is linked in the icons below: Click, Follow (or like), and Post!

Congratulations to the Children of St. Paul’s – Class of 2020

Jeaniesue Pelkey

Jeaniesue is so excited to be promoting to Middle School. She can’t wait to go to the same school as her church friends and dance friends. She was so disappointed to miss the big events that usually come with promotion and a cancelled dance season, but she is enjoying time with her brother, comfy clothes, and zoom, Zoom, ZOOM! She is looking forward to sunny days, hugs, friends, fellowship, and being a big 6th grader.

Colin Healy

We are so proud of what Colin has accomplished in these last three years at Benicia Middle School. He has been dedicated in the marching band and discovered a true musical side to him.  He continues with Boy Scouts and is working on becoming the Star Rank.  It’s been a true pleasure watching him mature into a well-rounded young man. He’s doing great academically as well as socially.  We look forward to seeing what the future holds for this bright young man.

Giovanna Grace Zampa

Giovanna is graduating from Benicia High School in June.  She plans to attend              San Diego State University in the fall and will be doing distance learning from Benicia until the school opens up for in-person classes. She will stay on as St. Paul’s Youth Advisor to the Vestry through the end of the year.  Congratulations, Giovanna!

Lily Marvin

Lily has been dancing for 14 years and has participated in the Benicia high school advanced dance program for all 4 years. She has also represented her school as a cheerleader for all 4 years. Lily will be attending Chico State University majoring in kinesiology with a minor in dance. Lily also hopes to represent Chico as a Wildcat cheerleader and as an Expressions dancer. Lily is planning on becoming a physical therapist or a nurse. We are very proud of our Lily Bean and happy to share her accomplishments with our St. Paul’s
