Outdoor Worship a Success!

Our first in-person church service was held this past Sunday, and the beautiful service ran smoothly thanks to the efforts of our ushers, altar guild, flower guild, worship team, and all of you! The setup included a new banner welcoming all to St. Paul’s, socially distanced and reserved chairs for attendees, and a custom, handmade outdoor altar from master wood artisans Dave White and Jim Jewell.

Though it was a success, we missed those who weren’t able to attend. As we forge ahead with re-shaping the worship and life of this congregation, we will strive to keep safety, accessibility, and community at the fore.

We learn as we go, and there are a few updates and changes that we’re going to implement to the registration process this week. They include:

-When you’re registering online, remember to include the number and names of those attending from your household.

-If you’re unable to register online, call JoAnn in the church office at (707) 745-0307 to register only during business hours from 9 am to 3 pm. Registration closes on Thursdays at 5 pm.

-It’s sunny in the rectory backyard; consider bringing a wide-brimmed hat or other head covering.

-If you register to attend a service and have to cancel, please call Usher Coordinator Steve Rodekohr.

Thank You for Your Support!

The 2020 Virtual Relay for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society took place Saturday, August 1. Our 20th year at Relay was different, for sure! Thank you to all who support this effort every year. A special shout out to the Holy Strollers who answered a last-minute challenge to walk safely at home for a combined total of 24 hours Saturday.

With help from family and friends, St. Paul’s supported all those whose lives have been affected by cancer, walking over 24 hours in our homes, neighborhoods, and even in Poland! Rev. Annie gave a wonderful blessing at the start of the online event, and St. Paul’s contributed many luminaria photos. To date, we have raised over $4,350, and the event total is over $41,000 as I write this update, with a goal of $50,000.
