Thank you, thank you for submitting your pledges! So far, we’ve committed $234,328 to a great year of ministry, mission, and worship in 2020. We’re still about $30,000 away from reaching last year’s total, so please consider making your pledge soon. You can get a pledge card from the pews, the office, or an usher and add them to the collection plate or bring them by the office by Dec. 1. This will allow the Vestry to begin the 2020 budgeting process with up-to-date information.

The Giving Tree will be ready after services Dec. 1 for you to select a name tag with a child’s age and gender and their gift request. The gifts (including the name tags) need to be returned to church or the office by Sunday, Dec. 15.

St. Paul’s love and generosity are needed again to make Christmas wishes come true for some children in the community whose families have limited budgets that can’t stretch to buy gifts, and for several years we have helped out with this need.
—Thank you, from the Grateful Glad & Giving Committee

Concert at St. Mary’s Dec. 5

For those of you who are familiar with the late and blessed Dana Couey, her amazing and musically talented husband Doug is having a concert at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Napa on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7 pm.  It is always a wonderful experience.  Please see the flyer on the Cursillo bulletin board in Parish Hall.

SSP Chili Dinner Dec. 6

Start your Holiday Open House stroll on First Street in downtown Benicia with a bowl of hot chili, corn bread and salad!  Join us by supporting our Sierra Service Project’s Chili Dinner on Friday, Dec. 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  SSP youth will be selling tickets after services.  The cost for adults and teens is $10, youth ages 6-12 $7 and kids 5 and under free!  Proceeds benefit the Sierra Service Project youth summer mission trip.

Christmas Symphonic Concert Sunday, Dec. 15

Join us for a holiday concert featuring local musicians who will perform seasonal favorites. A free will offering will be collected at the door, and a reception will be held after the concert.  Proceeds benefit St. Paul’s Community Meal.

Gift Cards for Community Meal Guests

The Community Meal is requesting $5 and $10 gift cards to Safeway or Rite Aid to give guests during the holiday season. The cards can be given to Donna Marshall or brought to the church office.

Are You Called to Vestry?

It’s time to prayerfully consider if God is calling you to serve on the Vestry. The Vestry is the primary “think tank” for the congregation. Working closely with the Holy Spirit and the rector, they establish priorities, allocate funds, and chart a course for the future of St. Paul’s. The vestry meets the third Tuesday evening of each month and once or twice more outside of that as the need arises. Contact Rev. Annie or any member of the Vestry with questions!
