One Service Only @ 10 am Sunday, January 29, 2023

Potluck and Annual Meeting after the service

There will be one service only this Sunday, Jan. 29 at 10 am.  The Annual Meeting of the Parish of St. Paul’s, Benicia, will be held after the service for the purpose of election of members to Vestry and Diocesan Convention, for the reception of reports, and for the transaction of any other business which may legally and canonically come before the meeting. Please bring a dish to share. 

Desserts Needed Feb. 11

There will be a Community Meal volunteer appreciation luncheon on Saturday, Feb. 11. The meal will be catered, but we are asking parishioners if they would provide desserts. The desserts would need to be delivered to the parish hall on Feb. 11 before noon. Please text or call Catherine Harrod at (707) 741-1583 if you can help.

 

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper Feb. 21

Hello, Good People of St. Paul’s!  With Ash Wednesday and Lent approaching, there’s no better way to head into the season than with our Sierra Service Project Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper!  We will be serving on Feb. 21 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm for dine-in or takeout.  And the cost? Free!  This is our way to say thank you for your support (of course, we’ll always take donations!).

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner March 11

It’s that time of year again!  The world-famous Sierra Service Project’s St. Patrick’s Day Dinner! The best corned beef, tater, carrot, cabbage, and Irish soda bread this side of Ireland (whichever side is longest)!  We’ll be serving on Saturday, March 11 and, of course, we’ll have many wonderful items for our opportunity drawing.  Our SSP youth will be selling tickets after services beginning January 29.  Come and support our youth! 

New Exhibit on Display

In celebration of the 163rd anniversary of the consecration of St. Paul’s church, come on by the south transept to see an exhibit on Bishop William Ingraham Kip. Learn about his perilous journey to California and see a couple items of interest.
