Our Lenten Series is off to a great start. There are 3 more great sessions coming:

March 23 – Dementia, presented by Alexis Glidewell, LCSW, from the Redwood Caregiver Resource Center

March 30 – Downsizing as a Spiritual Journey, presented by Susan Pierpoint

 

St. Paul’s Green Team Forming

At last fall’s diocesan convention, the collected body of Northern California Episcopal Churches voted to become carbon neutral by 2030. At last, the time has come to begin the journey! The Diocesan Commission on the Environment is presenting two Zoom meetings in the coming weeks to help us get started.  If you’re interested in being a part of the team, email Rev. Annie (rector@stpaulsbenicia.org) and she’ll give you the details.

Coffee Hour Celebration of Glenn Walp’s Retirement – March 26 

Join us for a special coffee hour following the 8:45 am service on March 26 in celebration of St. Paul’s traditional music director’s retirement. 

Volunteers Needed for Annual Dignity Day April 8 

The Solano Dream Center and Transformation Village are having their annual Dignity Day on April 8, 2023. This event draws many community service organizations and faith communities together to provide a “one-stop shopping” experience to assist with resources for the unhoused community of Vallejo and Benicia. It includes breakfast and lunch for unhoused guests as well as showers, haircuts, clothing, and important community/government resources. 

Volunteers are needed to assist as ambassadors—guides to walk with guests through the resources and provide a friendly and helpful presence. Spanish speakers are particularly needed. More information to come, but if you are interested in volunteering, please call Deacon Beth and let her know so that she can give an estimate to the organizers of how many people are willing to help on the day. She can be reached at (707) 688-7858.

Newcomer’s Brunch – April 23

12:30 – 2:30 pm, Parish Hall

Are you new to St. Paul’s? Or new-ish? Interested in baptism, confirmation, or formal reception into the Episcopal Church? Everyone is welcome to attend! We’ll gather for a meal and presentation. You’ll learn a little about the history and culture of our church, as well as some of the sacraments that will celebrate the milestones along your faith journey.
