Benicia’s Inaugural Juneteenth Festival
Saturday, June 19, 2021
Benicia Black Lives Matter (BBLM) is extending this invitation to welcome you to join this celebration and in the sincere desire to collaborate with BBLM on future events and issues that are of vital importance to the community.
A key component of the Juneteenth Festival will be to highlight and showcase Black-owned businesses and creatives throughout Solano County, in addition to shining a spotlight on like-minded Black organizations working to uplift our community.
We welcome everyone to spend the day together celebrating our families and community!
American Cancer Society Relay for Life
St. Paul’s Holy Strollers will be walking and fundraising in support of the American Cancer Society again this year. The event will be at St. Patrick/ St. Vincent High School August 7 for 24 hours, wrapping up the morning of August 8.
If you would like to walk some laps, please register at http://main.acsevents.org/goto/stpaulsbenicia21 and I’ll be in touch about scheduling and other details. Cancer survivors can also sign up to receive a special T-shirt. If you would like to participate but are not comfortable attending, please sign up and then walk with us virtually from your own neighborhood. All are welcome.
Want to support our team fundraising? Donate online at the web site, or mail a check made payable to ACS c/o my home address in the church directory.
Please email me if you would like to create luminarias in memory and honor of loved ones affected by cancer so I can get materials to you. The luminarias will be lit on the track this year for all to see.
With hope, Laura Peabody-Park
