Streaming Update: We’re LIVE!

Thanks to upgrades to our internet service in the church, our streaming team is ready to bring you the services as they happen! You can view them on Facebook on our Page (search for @stpaulsbenicia and “like” the page).  We’ll see you at 8:45 or 11 am!

Newcomers’ Class Begins Sept. 12

If you’re new to St. Paul’s or interested in learning more about our community, join us for a newcomers’ class! We’ll gather at noon in the undercroft for 3 Sundays. The classes are followed by a joyful rite of welcome to take place during worship on Oct. 3.

9/12 – Baptism: the Foundation of Belonging

9/18 – Eucharist: the Practice of Praying Together

9/26 – Stewardship: the Discipline of Action

10/3 – Newcomer Welcome Rite (during 8:45 and 11 am services)

Digital Fellowship This Sunday at 10 am

This Sunday we’re having a reunion — online! Our first Digital Fellowship gathering via Zoom will be at 10 am on Sept. 12. It will be a time to check in, get to better know fellow members of St. Paul’s or meet someone for the first time. (The format will be much like the Zoom coffee hour, only better!).  Everyone is welcome, so this would be a great time to invite someone who may want to learn about St. Paul’s to join us. Celebrating Mark Sackett’s 20 Years as St. Paul’s Contemporary Music Director                             Sunday, Sept. 26 at the 11 am Service

Please join us on Sunday, Sept. 26 at the 11 a.m. service as we celebrate Mark Sackett’s 20 years as the Contemporary Music Director at St. Paul’s.  Following the service there will be a simple, outdoor coffee hour.

Mark is well known for his festive (and sometimes themed) Hawaiian Aloha shirts.  Please join in the fun and don your favorite Aloha shirt to wear to church that Sunday (or just substitute a bright colored shirt!).  That way we can all join in the fun!

All covid-related protocols will remain in place for this service and coffee hour; please be sure to check the weekly announcements for the latest information.

Sierra Service Project Returns in 2022

Hooray! The Sierra Service Project is going live again in the summer of 2022!   The wonderful work of serving in disadvantaged communities, building in faith and community with others, and the just plain fun of sharing in a new experience is just around the corner!

If you have a youth or know of a youth that would be interested in serving or knowing more about the program, please let us know!  Youth advancing from eighth grade to those through high school are eligible to attend.  To learn more, go to www.sierraserviceproject.org or contact me or SSP coordinator Tom Sauter via the St. Paul’s Church Office at (707) 745-0307 or admin@stpaulsbenicia.org.

Please let us know as soon as possible as priority registration is opening up in October.

On His Hook, Steve Rodekohr
