Women’s Ministry Potluck and Brainstorm –   Sunday, September 25 at 12:30 pm

Women of St. Paul’s, join us after the 11 am service on Sept. 25 for a casual potluck lunch and discussion about developing a women’s group here at the church. Bring a dish to share (store bought is just fine!!) and your best ideas.

Foyer Groups — A Way to Share Fellowship and Have Fun

Many of you will remember when we had foyer groups at St. Paul’s. Foyer groups are small groups of 6-10 people who gather to share simple meals, fellowship, and fun outings! The groups are randomly put together, and each group gathers and decides how (and how often) they want to spend their time together.
Alternating meals at each other’s homes, going to ball games, having a game night, anything goes! The intent is to meet new people and get to know them before we re-group (usually a year), and go again! It’s a great way to meet new people and a fun way to share fellowship. This announcement is to determine if/who might be interested in starting these groups again. Families can be grouped together, too, so indicate if you would prefer a family option. Call or email me with any questions you have, and please let me know if you are interested.  If we get enough interest, we’ll go from there.

Volunteers Needed to Host Coffee Hour in the Fall

Please volunteer to host a coffee hour, starting in September.  You can host for both coffee hours (after the 8:45 service and the 11 service, which resume Sept. 11), or just choose one of the coffee hours.  Refreshments do not need to be elaborate or fancy. Sign-up sheets are located in the Parish Hall, on the refreshment table or on the counter area.  Responsibilities are easy:

  1. Sign up for a coffee hour host.
  2. Bring simple snacks.
  3. If hosting after the 8:45 am service, stay and clean up the refreshment table and wash dishes. If hosting after the 11 am service, stay and clean up the refreshment table and wash dishes. The Parish Hall and the kitchen should both be left clean and tidy.
  4. All leftover beverages should be disposed of (not saved in the refrigerator).
  5. If there is leftover food that has not been opened it can be tagged and saved in the refrigerator or on the kitchen counter for the “community meal,” but generally all open food should be taken home by you or disposed.

There is a generous supply of paper products available and serving trays/platters at the church. If you have any questions, contact Kim Rodekohr at krodekohr@pacbell.net.
